2014 Events

11/2014 - Nicole served as a regional adjudicator for the Music Teachers National Association Student Composition Competition, evaluating elementary through Young Artist-level submissions. Congratulations to the division winners!

8/4-8/17/2014 - Nicole just successfully completed her first session as Faculty and Chair of the Composition Department at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp (Session IV, Middle School) in Twin Lake, Michigan, having been hired for the position only two weeks prior.

7/12/2014 - Nicole's collection of twenty pedagogical piano compositions in uncommon keys, Venturing Beyond, is now available for purchase on SheetMusicPlus!

3/2014 - Nicole is currently sailing around South America on the ms Zaandam, again as half of the Duo del Mare, and again to glowing reviews. In comparison to the previous duo in residence, average ratings for the Duo del Mare during their first cruise (according to guest surveys) were almost a 10th-point higher, representing one of the biggest jumps in category ratings between these two cruises.

1/3/2014 - Nicole has returned from her first cruise ship contract as the pianist of the Duo del Mare aboard the ms Maasdam. The duo consistently garnered glowing reviews, with several passengers calling them the best classical duo in the entire Holland America fleet (15 ships). Nicole and Amy have been offered two more contracts, aboard the ms Zaandam and the ms Ryndam, for this year.
