Fall 2016 Events

November 2016 - I'm happy to have been granted the opportunity to serve as an MTNA composition competition judge again this year (marking my 3rd consecutive year adjudicating for the MTNA in various stages of the composition competitions). Teaching composition (and especially adjudicating it) can be difficult, but I hope I'm offering some useful advice when I evaluate these pieces by talented young composers from around the US!

October 2016 - I've been keeping busy this year as a collaborative pianist for members of several voice studios at IU. I've had a great time working with Profs. Timothy Noble, Patricia Stiles, Wolfgang Brendel, Andreas Poulimenos, and many others! Among other engagements, I recently appeared with soprano Alejandra Martinez, both at the IMU Global Music Series and as the featured pre-show entertainment for one of IU Opera Theatre's Florencia en el Amazonas performances.
Piano studio enrollment for the fall semester is now closed. A huge thank you to all my students for making the studio so successful this year! Prospective students interested in working with me are still welcome to reach out--spots usually open in January as singers discontinue their voice lessons and no longer need accompanying services.
