Fall 2024 Happenings

12/2024 - Check out my feature on the TopMusic podcast, where I was the featured composer for December 2024! Click here  to learn more.

12/8/2024 - I'll be coming together with my collaborative partners from the violin studio of Dr. Maria Romero for a recital at Vanderbilt University, 4:30pm in Turner Hall. There will be a variety of styles represented, including a world premiere arrangement. Free admission!

10/17/2024 - My music received its Macedonian (and indeed, probably Eastern European) premiere with a multi-studio performance at the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra's Chamber Hall. My Nocturne in G# minor was performed beautifully by Zlatica Lazarova, student of Blagoj Janev. I'm grateful to all the students and teachers who invested their time and energy into the 22 Nocturnes collection and the recital was apparently very well received. You can find out more on Branka Markovic's Facebook post here and on MIA.mk's news article here .

10/11/2024 - I'll be bringing my Teaching the Hypermobile Piano Student course for teachers to West Virginia (virtually) as a featured presenter at the West Virginia Music Teachers Association state conference. I'm so pleased to see the increased interest in how to work with this important and growing student population! If you are part of a conference programming committee and would like to book me to teach this workshop to your conference attendees, please get in touch and we'll make it happen.

10/5/2024 - Check out the wonderful video documentary on Rose McLachlan's performance of the complete 22 Nocturnes for Chopin (including my Nocturne in G# minor) given as part of the London Piano Festival in (of course) London, England on Oct. 5. Each nocturne is timestamped in the Youtube video, which you can access by clicking here.

9/20/2024 - My Tonebase Piano blog post "How to Play Orchestral Reductions at the Piano" is now live! You can check it out here .

8/30/2024 - Check out this lovely feature and recording of my Nocturne in G# minor by my friend and colleague, Charles Szczepanek. You can access the YouTube video by clicking here .

8/2024 - I'm thrilled to be serving as a Guest Artist at Vanderbilt University this academic year as the Baroque ensemble rehearsal  harpsichordist/continuo player. The Vanderbilt Blair School of Music is a real gem in Nashville and the surrounding areas, and I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to play more early music in my adopted home.
