Welcome to my hybrid artist website and score storefront! I am a mainly-collaborative pianist, composer, harpsichordist, music theorist, historical improviser, and instructor based out of the Nashville (Tennessee, US) area and online. Here, you may find some information about me as an artist as well as purchase some of my concert and educational compositions, including VENTURING BEYOND, my acclaimed set of 20 early-intermediate piano solos in unusual keys, representing various 18th- and 19th-century genres. Other compositions, like my Nocturne in G# minor, are available exclusively through EVC Music and distributed by Hal Leonard Europe.

I am available for solo and collaborative piano projects around Nashville, elsewhere with travel provided, and remotely, and I am also an active and highly sought-after church service pianist (all denominations that use traditional hymns). As an accompanist and coach I specialize in vocal, violin, and student flute literature, as well as early music, but have collaborated with all kinds of ensembles. View my collaborative piano and chamber repertoire list here: https://tinyurl.com/nicole-rep

I also offer online piano, music theory, aural skills, composition, and partimento/historical improvisation lessons via Google Meet. I've taught online since 2015 in both private and university settings, so I bring a wealth of experience to this field. Please visit my studio website at http://studio-dipaolo.weebly.com/ to learn more and enroll. I am among the few teachers online who maintains a special focus on teen and adult students (andragogy) and historical composition/improvisation. My other pedagogical specialties include piano instruction for adult beginners, tonal composition, idiomatic piano writing, all levels of undergraduate (and some graduate) music theory/aural skills, form and analysis, schema theory, and keyboard harmony, as well as tutoring neurodivergent college music students who may be ineligible for university accommodations but need extra coursework assistance.
