Beschreibung
This piece was written for the International String Quartet of Yucatán after their manager requested a fun piece suitable for an encore. "Divertimento" is a commentary on 18th-century Classical styles. Particularly in the first violin part, it is rather virtuosic and would be well suited to the talents of an undergraduate conservatory quartet or an exceptional high school ensemble.
