Exciting Things Happening in Fall 2019!
11/17/2019: Fans of new choral music are invited to attend a performance of Joshua Clausen's Requiem (for voice and electronics) for which I'll be in the chorus. This will take place during the regular service time at Fairmount Presbyterian Church in Cleveland Heights. I was an active chorister in various ensembles at IU (and was particularly sought after for new music premieres), so I'm looking forward to this opportunity! 11/15/2019: Case Western's Concert Choir (and yours truly on piano) will be ...

Spring/Summer 2019 Events and Happenings
8/2019: More exciting news: StudioDiPaolo will soon be relocating to Shaker Heights, Ohio, in addition to maintaining a virtual studio! For this reason, I'll no longer be taking Bloomington students who don't intend to "go virtual" after the relocation happens; however, if you'd like to join the virtual piano studio (or are interested in enrolling for theory/composition, which has always offered virtual enrollment), enrollment is still open for that. This website will also be getting a complete makeover ...

Summer & Fall 2018 Events
11/2018: The semester is coming to a close and audition prescreening deadlines are looming. If you anticipate needing to work with a pianist for your recordings or fall jury, let me know as soon as possible. As finals approach, more of my classroom music theory students will be requesting office hours and extra tutoring, which will limit my rehearsal schedule. January piano studio waitlist positions remain unchanged. Should my classroom teaching load change in such a way that I can begin accepting ...

Fall 2016 Events
November 2016 - I'm happy to have been granted the opportunity to serve as an MTNA composition competition judge again this year (marking my 3rd consecutive year adjudicating for the MTNA in various stages of the composition competitions). Teaching composition (and especially adjudicating it) can be difficult, but I hope I'm offering some useful advice when I evaluate these pieces by talented young composers from around the US! October 2016 - I've been keeping busy this year as a collaborative ...
